In October, electricity consumption decreased by 3.4%

The demand for electricity declined by 3.4% in October last year, and the lowest electricity consumption in the same month of 2012 was reported by the Fund's Energy Development Fund (Fundelec).

In October, 40% of the total consumption (3 928.8 GWh) was in demand for housing, while the commercial sector was 29% (2 920.4 GWh) and 31% in the industrial sector (3.025.9 GWh).

Housing demand also dropped by -1.3%, commercial demand dropped by 4%, and industrial demand declined by -5.7%.

However, in ten months the demand for electricity increased by 1.6%.

Consumer consumption in the country is as follows: October 18, Catamarca (-46%), San Luis (-12%), San Juan (-11%), Chubut (-7%), La Rioja (-7%), Tucuman (-6%), Cordoba (-5%), Santiago del Estero (-5%), Eden (-4%), Entre Ríos (-3%), Santa Fe (-2%), La Pampa (-1%), Mendoza (-1%).

He also noted that in October, the average temperature was 17.8 ° C and 18.2 ° C in the same month of the previous year and 17.3 ° C in the historic period.

As in the past months, imports have been lowered to satisfy the demand: imported to 13 GW in October 2017 by 25 GW in October 2018.
