Former New Zealand trainer Mike Hesson has taken over Bangalore, the cricket operations director of the IPL team, Roy Challenger. The issue was confirmed in Friday's press release.

Hesson has long been interested in being a trainer of India and Bangladesh national teams. However, Hessson was denied because he was not a businessman from both offices. Franchising has created a new position in Bangalore this past two seasons. Alongside cricket operations, it is engaged in policy, strategy, software, scouting, and productivity management. Hesson was previously coach of King Elven Pangbao. At the time, former Australian Simon Katich replaced the new head coach.
