Belgian boxer Stofa Petrova has qualified for the finals in the 54kg Women's World Championship in New Delhi. The 33-year-old athlete won a confident victory with a score of 5: 0 against Nanjinggg Mygmandulam of Mongolia and won at least a silver medal.

The final will be Bucharest's two-time European champion 2014 and Sofia-2018 Asian Ta Lin, Taiwan. The battle for the title of world champion will be held on November 24.

Petrova provided the first and only medal for Bulgaria at the New Delhi championship. It is the second place in the world championships. Two years ago Dobrich boxer won silver in Astana.

Five other five medals were won in New Delhi – Sevda Asenova, Stanimir Petrova, Gabriela Dimitrova, Melis Ionzunova and Denisa Eliseeva.

Petrova won in 57kg category. However, the 2014 World Cup winner, Sonia Chakhal, left the finals after a string of disappointing defeats.

Petrov and trainer Petar Lesov were dismissed for blaming corruption and violence.
