The group is calling for the role of Seoul in the fight against tuberculosis in North Korea

A non-profit US-based group called SEOUL, Korea, and the Republic of Korea, urging North Korea to take strong action against the anti-tuberculosis crisis in North Korea, says it has stepped up US sanctions on nuclear weapons and missile programs.

Eugene Bell Foundation Chairman Steven Lynton has criticized Friday it has denied the need to assist Seoul in releasing sanctions to help stabilize supplies for patients in North Korea.

According to the World Health Organization, in North Korea in 2017, about 107,000 tuberculosis incidents have been reported, causing 16,000 deaths.

According to Mrs. Linton, efforts to combat tuberculosis in North Korea have hit hard when the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria decided to complete their countrywide program.
