The Vancouver Police Department is investigating the attack on the Friday teenager's life at Downtown Eastside, Vancouver.

At 9:15 am at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Prince Street Street, a teenage man was attacked with guns before he fled.

Several witnesses were identified as 9-1-1, and the victim was taken to the hospital and died.

A 19-year-old American man, who was born in Vancouver, has been found dead in Chicago.

He was not arrested.

RCMP says it's not accidental and there is no danger to the public.
