The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro may be the same thing as the language – it is called shaow-me-me-eight-pro, but its launch in the UK is a historic moment. The most notable case of the in-house smartphone is, in fact, one of the first to witness the fact that OnePlus was invited for free in 2016.
As the fourth smartphone maker in the world, it is necessary to increase the status of Xiaomi smartphone. This is a company that produces high-quality phones at unprecedented rates with muscle – this is a very successful approach to OnePlus in recent years.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Review: What You Need to Know
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro encapsulates what you need to know about Xiaomi. This flagship smartphone features a 6.2in, long thin OLED display, a Snapdragon 845 processor, and a 2x optical zoom dual back camera – but you can expect a lower price.
The question is, is the Mi 8 Pro our favorite favorite, OnePlus 6T, a common productivity and value?
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Review: Price and Competitiveness
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro is exactly the same as the OnePlus 6T. If you're really buying a really high-level phone for 499 pounds – some manufacturers are competing with real value for money.
One of the clearest opponents is £ 330 Padfone F1, but it's also made in Xiaomi. Among other smartphone makers, this is the closest product for money – Honor's Kirin powered phones. For example, the Honor Play, a flagship processor for the Kirin 970, costs only £ 280.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Overview: Design and Key Features
Why choose Pocophone F1 only? Basically, Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro is an attractive device. In fact, the Mi8 Pro 2018 should be one of the most unusual phone constructions we have ever seen.
It is different from the front. Here is a high, narrow grade 6.2in display that consumes the upper part and fills all the front of the device. The volume rocker and red power button are on the right edge, with a USB Type-C outlet on the bottom edge of the pair of loudspeaker grids and the dual SIM tray on the right. You will also find a fingerprint reader on the screen and an infrared face to unlock the front camera that works in the dark and daytime.
It's the back of the most interesting phone, however: a transparent panel instead of a color or texture glass will show your phone's sheets, processors, and schema panels to all and more. I realize that it is not for everyone, but it's a wonderful departure from the norm. Unfortunately, if you do not like it, you have stopped: this is Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro's only design, which will be officially available in the UK.
Incredibly, the phone is equipped with the Gorilla Glass 5 front and the back, so it is slippery under your finger and easy to clean fingerprints and other dirt.
However, there is no dust-resistance rating, and the Mi 8 Pro has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The ridiculous thing is that there is no storage space, but 128 GB can be stored on board, it can not be otherwise.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Overview: Display
Another area chosen by the Mi 8 Pro is the large 6.2in measuring display on the diagonal. This is not the most sophisticated display in the block with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,280 (402 pixel pixel density), but here the actual novelty uses AMOLED technology. These layers of the smartphone world can see low IPS displays, but not here.
Obviously, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro screen is not as good as the Samsung or Apple high-speed AMOLED screens, but you get the same superb black and unique contrast with all the AMOLED screens. The screen also becomes color-sensitive when you turn off the adaptive contrast and eye comfort. It is able to increase sRGB color depth and color accuracy (when measuring against sRGB target) by 97.7%.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Review: Productivity
However, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro really brilliant. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, Adreno 630 GPU, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of memory. This line is very stable and liquid. These routes also retain the Apple iPhone XS, XS Max and XR for any phone this year.
The life of the battery is respected, but it does not lead the class. This is not with OnePlus 6T, but among its other competitors, the Mi 8 Pro is incredible. Our video documentary took 15 hours and 40 minutes, which is a day of normal use.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Review: Cameras
Cameras are a weak spot for cheap phones, but the Mi 8 Pro is just starting to work. It has the ability to mount the camera at the rear with photos that are shot at 12 megapixels. The original chamber is a good, bright aperture f / 1.8, 1.4 megapixels. Pixel and optical image stabilization; The auxiliary camera incorporates 2x optical zoom with f / 2.4 diaphragms, but slightly smaller than 1um pixels have less light output. On the front there is a 20 megapixel camera with f / 2 hole.
It is well-designed against OnePlus 6T, which is the average price in the smartphone sector. In fact, on some side the Mi 8 Pro has a high quality set. In particular, I get a MyPlus 6T deep card, high resolution and a small 1.22m pixel optical zoom and a large pixel of Mi 8 Pro.
Camera software is smart and convenient. It has, of course, the AI capabilities and manual modes, but here you have a few extra features that you can not usually see: parallel and rotary sloping mode that shifts horizontally adjusted images and how much your shot angle is built automatically.
The key question is whether the result matches the magnificent characteristics of the Mi 8 Pro. The answer is always, yes and no. Mi 8 Pro is the most impressive when it comes to low light – shocking – the camera works better than OnePlus 6. His big sensor and the most sympathetic processing of noise are much less clean and less damp in light conditions.

In good light, I'm not saying it's a good light, because my test scene is very gray in London – OnePlus is shot in the front, especially for HDR images. The pictures taken using the Xiaomi HDR mode make the OnePlus 6T smoother and more saturated than on the same scene. Even though HDR is off, the high resolution of 6T is still payable. Photos are natural and more acute.

Another region video is a bit losing Xiaomi fashion. Yes, it can shoot at 4K and yes, it stabilizes it, but it can not be captured at 60 pounds, like OnePlus 6T. And its video stabilization is not the worst. It stops scratching, but looks like it's not as stable as the OnePlus 6T.
However, the images look natural and return with exact particles. Along with the excellent quality of quality, it contributes to the camera.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Review: Software
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is the only free software site. Like Huawei and Honor, Xiaomi MiUI requires Android to run on Android, where it works on Android 8.1 Oreo.
I'm not happy about how it looks or how it works. Like the Huawei EMUI, MiUI removes the application icon at the bottom of the screen to display all program icons on the table. Unfortunately, there is no way to restore the apps drawer except for the download of a third-party launcher, such as Nova. I do not like rewriting icons for all major programs in Xiaomi, and blocked lock screen notifications are absolutely terrible.
But the main thing, as always, is very difficult. Yes, there's a typical list of duplicate programs for what's covered by Google's major software. And no, it's not as pixel as Android, Pixel 3 XL or even OnePlus 6T. It is also fluid, fast, and responsible, and this is one of the ways to get her irritation.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro Review: Argument
The Mi 8 Pro proves why I was a strong driver for Xiaomi's arrival in the UK. That means we have another manufacturer, which aims to deliver true value for money, instead of boosting profit margins with any additional issues.
In short, if you like the deal and OnePlus phones are boring, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro is a smartphone. It has a holographic flag phone, but at the average cost of the rider and the price of OnePlus 6T.
For my money, OnePlus 6T is still a high-level phone, but you will not be disappointed if you choose Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro. Not anyone.
