In some cases, though, the new technique shows that it is not perfect. In Germany too. In the United States, autonomous traffic has developed in recent years. The Road Safety Authority, NHTSA, would like to launch autonomous vehicles that will be fully processed in the near future, without interfering with people. Google has tested this technology for certain time in specific locations.
This is a four-level vehicle on a five-level scale of autonomous driving. The fifth level, where all traffic conditions and managing computer without human intervention dominate, it is purely fantastic.
From a driver to a simple observer?
"Level 1" applies to a car that runs without automation and has only simple security systems. "Level 2" semi-autonomous car already has road and parking, as well as driver's functions. Driver at Level 3 is automated. It manages machine management, but only if the technology works completely. If there are bubbles or heavy rains from the camera and the radar, for example, the system recommends monitoring people.
However, this is a problem, because "people are not always alert", – says engineer psychologist Mark Wollrat. An automated drive can distort the drive and do other things. In addition, the distribution of tasks is incomplete. "Does the driver know what he is doing and what to do?" Wollatr asked.
The psychologist found that the reaction time was significantly longer when detected. Even in an emergency, even experienced drivers have encountered difficulties. "We have three times more crash than we have in hand," he said.
Responsibility of a driver or a vehicle
Policyholders consider this aspect to be an adverse risk. That is why they require clear division of tasks between drivers and technicians at all levels.
The Federation of Government Automation and Interdependent Automation Ethics Committee, supported by Udo Di Fabio, President of the Commission.
