Broadway's original product was launched in Broadway's Winter Garden Theater in 1982, with 7,485 performances and 18 years of age. CATS was originally produced by Cameron Mackintosh in Broadway, The Really Beneficial Company, David Jefferson and Schubert.
CATS returned to Brodway in 2016 during an amazing revival at the Neil Simon Theater. Preliminary shows began on July 14, 2016 and officially opened on Sunday, July 31, 2016. CATS held its final presentation on December 30, 2017, after 16 preview and 593 regular performances.
The new release of CATS is based on the original choreography by John Rainer (Scenic & Costume Design), Natasha Katz (Design of Light), Mick Potter (Sound Design), Andy Blankbücher's choreography, Gillian Lynne. Trevor Nunn.
As the world premiere, CATS has been featured in more than 30 countries around the world, translating into 15 languages and has seen over 73 million people around the world.
