The appearance of beet in Europe; Latvian residents were vaccinated – Society and politics – News

European Center for Prevention and Control of ECDC (ECDC) report on epidemiological surveillance of 13,547 measles cases from September 1 to 12 months and 28 August this year 28 Member States of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA).

Over the last 12 months, all EU and OEA countries have reported beetle cases. The largest number in Greece is 3171, France 2792, Italy 2718, Romania 1765 and the United Kingdom 1007. During this period, there were registered 38 cases of measles.

About 65 cases of beetroot have been reported in Latvia during this period, but the "measles" diagnosis was confirmed on December 18 last year, including 23 cases, including six children.

According to Araf, none of the patients were vaccinated against measles, but four of them did not reach the age of vaccination. In three cases, children will be pushed out on a trip. In general, there are nine infections outside of Latvia, including two foreigners.

As the representative of the SPKC noted, the prevalence of measles is associated with a decrease in vaccination.

"Science and practice have proven that at least 95% of the population should be vaccinated with two vaccine doses in order to prevent measles disease," Arja explained.

It recalls that beet is a very infectious disease, easily spreading through air drops and direct contact with sensitive people to the beet virus. Larva through air drops, as well as in direct contact. The burden can be very severe, because it is associated with severe complications, especially for children under five, adults older than 20, immune deficiency, and pregnant women.

SPCC is a vaccine that is effective and effective against measles. Vaccination is used for measles, measles and anti-epidemic vaccine (MPR). Maximum deficiency requires two doses of vaccine. Consequently, in Latvia and elsewhere, the vaccination schedule for children offers two MPRs. The first child takes the baby at the age of 12-15 months, but at the age of seven he strengthens in Latvia.

According to Arga, the infection has a special risk, for example, when planning to visit a measles-affected country and after contact with the measles patient, until the age of six, starting the first vaccine. However, at the age of 12-15 months, the dishes should be repeated, and the vaccination schedule will be completed by seven years.

Epidemiologists of the SPKC are comparatively well versed in measles vaccination in children, so in Latvia there were no ungulate beetles.

In addition, CPC encourages parents to revise the child's vaccination status, especially when traveling internationally.

Analysis of PPF Immunization Data In January-June of the current year immunization of measles, measles and epidemics increased compared to the corresponding period of 2017. In the first half of this year, 98.1% of children received the first MR puppet, and 89.5% of the second-placed children.
