In short, most importantly
27-year-old Norwegian Magnus Carlsen and 26-year-old American Fabiano Caruana will be recognized world champion in the World Chess Championship in London on November 9-11. Carlsen can become the world champion for the fourth time after 2013, 2014 and 2016. Caruana will take part in the World Championship for the first time. So Carlesen is considered a favorite, but Caruana is able to overcome the world champion.
World Championship is detailed
The original position
For Magnus Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana is the duel to be the biggest challenge in his career. In the 132-year history of the World Chess Championship, the original position is even more balanced: Both competitors are not just the best players, but almost the same age and equality.
For the first time the Norwegians are not pure favorites. More than 40 years after the global ranking, more than 40 ELO scores have dropped significantly. His opponent Caruana won the tournament this year and was far more successful than Karlsen. Most importantly, there is only a small number of people who have seen Carlsen with the American view. Surprisingly, this year's experts are difficult.

Magnus Carlsen, world champion
- Age: 27 years
- Elo rating: 2835
- World ranking: 1 place
- Grandmaster: 13 years, 4 months and 27 days
Magnus Carlsen is a chess superstar. At the age of 20, he became the 1st category of the world – just like any other person before him. In May 2014, he scored 2882 points in the Elo ranking and exceeded the record of Garri Kasparov in July 1999 (2851 points). Karlsen has an intuitive tab, and so is compared to Anatoly Karpov, a chess legend.
It differs not only for its talent, but also for its self-centricity. Carlsen is interested in rivals, such as social networks or gambling and facial expressions. One of the models for the so-called "G-Star" jeans and a yellow copy of the "Simpson" episode. The second passion, except for Chess, is football.
Carlsen to Duel: "This time it is a real duel. Being a world champion, I was part of my team and, accordingly, it was about a lot. I do not think much about becoming a world champion. But I do not want to be another person. It's a little shameful, and I have to admit it with honesty. It should not be. »

Fabiano Caruana, Candidate
- Age: 26 years
- Elo rating: 2832
- World ranking: 2nd place
- Grandmaster is 14 years, 11 months and 20 days
Fabiano was born to Caruana Miami in Italy and grew up in Brooklyn. At the age of 5, he started playing chess in school – not voluntarily – teachers and parents sent him to chess as he hoped to teach him a wild child. Soon Caruana played chess every minute. At the age of 10 he won the grandmaster for the first time. To move his talented son, parents moved from the United States to Europe through Caruana. Caruana left the school after the 7th grade and played chess. He was a Grand Master ten days before his 15th birthday.
In March of this year, he achieved his biggest achievement: he won a Candidate Tournament in Berlin and became a World Cup Cup against Karlsen.
Caruana has repeatedly compared Bobby Fischer – both grew up in Brooklyn and was not only successful in his youth. Once a fisherman Caruana plays a universal style with a big apple for chess. And it is paying special attention to it. However, unlike Fisher, there is no eccentricity in Caruana. She is considered a good boy in the near future and, unlike Karlsen, hinders her from creating rivals.
Caruana Duel Before: "It's like boxing or mixed martial arts. It's a duel blow, and we both get the upper hand and try to make our own. "
This is the end of the World Chess Championship
mode
The London Chess Championships include a maximum of 12 games. The winner of each game will score one point, the losers will not be empty. If the game ends in a game, each player gets a half point. The player needs 6.5 points to win the world title. If this value is reached, the World Cup will expire earlier.
Thinking time – 100 minutes for the first 40 steps, 50 minutes for 20 steps and 15 minutes for the rest of the game. Each train has a 30-second credit. Drawings are only permitted after the 30th step of Schwartz.
If it's after 12 rounds, it will hamper the World Cup win. There are 4 fast chess games and 4 flash games in the gala. If no decision is made, Armageddon should play. In this format the white pieces must be won by the player, but it takes a long time to think rather than a player playing a black-and-white drawing to win the competition.
