According to the research, two of the three antiviruses for Android are useless

Everyone who regularly uses the Internet knows that it is a good network of useful antivirus and fraudsters. Unfortunately, in our mobile devices, it is unlikely that our malicious software had been loaded on our devices, but unfortunately, let's wait for our equipment to set up slowly, foolproof and unprotected programs.

I think most of these decisions are a real fraud. According to a study released by the Austrian company AV-Comparatives, at least one third of the Android antivirus is useless and does not use the promotion method.

The organization has checked Virus Shield's 250 anti-virus solutions, promising to verify the computer for detecting and removing malware in the Google Play Store. It should be noted that this was a paid application, fortunately, retaining Google's profits and returning it to the affected users.

Only 80% of the 80 solutions were effective

The investigative team made a simple test: every antivirus was installed on an independent team and it automated the device to unblock the browser, download the application with malicious content, and install it.

Each program was repeated 2000 times, and the team understood that by 2019, they should update their antivirus database and at least index the risks.

However, the result was overwhelming: from 250 to 80 only needed 30% efficiency. In fact, many antivirus solutions have not been reviewed by apps that download phones, but only knowing the APK name or the installation package, based on the list of applications – what is and why not malicious software.

For many auctions, many programs have identified themselves as malicious software: if the white list does not have their own installation package, the anti-virus is marked as a virus. That is, the peak of irony.

It also holds the com.apple extension as a wildcard in a malicious APK title.[nombre cualquiera].apk ", most of the antivirus allows you to access your phone without difficulty.

Systematic fraud

The 170 applications, which did not exceed 30% of the minimum barrier, are questionable based on fraud. AV-Comparatives ensures that most of these programs are developed by amateur programmers or non-security software companies.

Most of them are created by companies that need to be antivirus in their use portfolio, and even have at least fifty app models developed by the same person, and give no examples of functionality, only the design changes buttons and the ads that appear on them.

ESET mobile malware analyst Lucas Stefanko has confirmed the Austrian company Twitter for several months.
